Safety is the foundation of creation.
This letter is about safety. But not the kind of safety you feel walking down the street at night. And not the kind of relief you feel from having more money in the bank, finding the right person, or everything going your way all the time.
This is the kind of safety you build inside yourself, regardless of any of those outcomes. So no matter what chaos happens around you, you're solid.
Everything you desire to create in this life sits on top of that foundation.
Safety and creation
First, let's define;
Safety = of calm aliveness where you are out of fight, flight or freeze, which are body responses to survival, threat or fear.
Creation = The actualisation of something that you desire, bringing an idea into physical reality. A business, a project, a lifestyle, a relationship. They're all forms of creation.
It doesn't matter how much you can understand intellectually the teachings of manifestation (creation). The foundation of that working as intended starts with a feeling of safety within.
The first place we look.
When we are brought into this world, we are immediately seeking safety. So we look for it in our parents. Care, love, warmth, safety. All of it revolves around how much we feel safe in our body to relax and just be.
Therefore our first inclination when we arrive into this world is to seek safety outside of us, that inclination carries with us throughout our life. We start seeking safety in everything outside of us in order to get that same feeling when we don't feel okay.
We look for it in money, we think things like "money is going to give me a certain level of financial security", then I will feel safe and calm.
It's the same in love or in a relationship, we think things like "I'm looking for a partner so I do not feel alone. And when I'm not alone, I feel calm. I feel okay. I feel safe."
These are forms of looking for something outside of ourselves.
Note: We're not saying that there's no truth to these statements. We're saying there's a deeper layer to it.
The breakthrough moment.
For me, for a long time, I was searching for home (safety) in all of the countries I was visiting as I was building my business. And then I was looking for safety in money.

Eventually, after visiting countries all around the world and experiencing the ups and downs in business... I realised that safety is something created within me, regardless of what happens outside me.
I started to see that I'm never going to have the perfect amount of money in my bank account to feel safe. I'm never going to have the relationship that's going to give me the safety that I want, which is the feeling of calm aliveness where you are out of fight, flight or freeze.
That was up to me. Nobody else.
This understanding started to click everything into place when it came to what I knew about bringing ideas into reality, getting results and changing my life for the better.
The feeling of safety actually brought me to the place inside myself where I could fully receive what I wanted.
We're oftentimes geared to look towards what do I need to do in order to generate results? What actions do I need to take?
Half the equation.
The other side of it is this more relaxed state of being. This calm certainty, inner safety we're talking about.
For a long time my actions were driven by urgency and scarcity.
"If I don't constantly do, then I will not have".
The problem was the energy driving my actions was from a feeling of not being safe in stillness.
I was planting seeds of scarcity that entire time. And those seeds will grow, but they will not sustain.
This is one of the hardest lesson I've ever learned.
What you can't control.
Safety is never going to come outside of us, because we live in an unsafe world.
There's going to be people in our lives that are not coming from the same lens we are, and we are subject to their actions.
This is not about trying to change the world to be more safe. It's about creating safety within, which then as a byproduct, if everyone was to do that, we would live in a very safe world.
It starts with us, like always.
It's about how you respond to the challenges that you experience in your life.
I went through many financial challenges throughout my business journey so far. In the low moments, I was given the opportunities (that seemed like failures and losses) to be able to create a sense of certainty and safety within my own self.
The anxiousness and the fear that came up when my bank account dropped was a chance for me to go into that emotion. To feel it. To not latch onto it and attach to it and let it drive my behaviour, but to allow it to move through me as any emotion does.
When I was able to do that, I got rid of the illusion of fear that was driving me the entire time. And I started to see that there was nothing to be afraid of.

When I started to shift that perspective, not only did my bank account start to rise naturally, but I started to feel this calm sense of no matter what is happening in my life:
I do not need to control the world around me. I can control my state. I have the power within.
I work with a handful of 1-on-1 clients each month. I help you find your Signal in the Noise and create the business and life you want by building in alignment with how you're uniquely designed for success. If you want to explore what that looks like click the link below.
The mind that never settles.
The mind is the part of us that will never feel safe because the mind is subject to the material world around us and "programming".
If you go on social media, or look at the news, you'll see an abundance of fear. An abundance of reasons why things aren't working out.
"The world is going under", "there's not enough money", or "the economy is down".
Whatever the story is, it's noise. It's all an illusion.
If we're solely stuck in our mind and disconnected from our heart we're likely to believe that illusion.
When we are experiencing something challenging, it's the opportunity for us to get out of our mind and into our body, and trust that it's just emotion moving through us.
Being bigger than fear.
Fear is an illusion. When we see the fear for what it is and we allow it to flow through us, we actually take away its power. When we do that, we unlock more of our real self.
The creation of your dream reality, whatever result you're bringing into this world, is challenging to create when you're living in survival and fear (especially when you don't realise it because it's become normal)
Now, you may be thinking; "I have bills to pay. There's money to be made. I have to take care of my family. I have to take care of myself."
All of that is relevant and we're not ignoring it in any way. What we are doing is acknowledging that fear, as it comes in, but not as something we have to completely let overrun our system.
We do not have to be subject to feeling like we are powerless in those scenarios.
Like Bruce Wayne in Batman Begin. Terrified of bats, he goes into the cave that once frightened him, and as they arrive he stays present in his body as they fly around him, instead of running away. He embodies fearlessness in this moment. It's the same for you and I.

These challenges that come through us and give us this sense of fear are there because we have created it from the fear within ourselves. For us to see it, bring it to the light, and let it go.
As mentioned, I went through challenges financially in my business but I was always shown that the more I leaned into this journey of letting that fear flow through me and not becoming identified with it, the more I saw I was supported.
Things would be there to support me like People, communities, family, out of nowhere. I was willing to ask for support, I was willing to put myself out there, or I was willing to trust enough to see through the illusion long enough for it to change right before my eyes.
When we tap into this sense of safety within, seeing through the fear, we create space for miracles.
Now, if Safety is not outside of us, and it's not in the mind, there's only one place left where it can be.
In the body.

The most empowering thing about that is... the body can be taught.
Practical steps to take
01 | People.
We're not here to be a solely independent person that doesn't rely on anybody.
When we were born into this world back in the days where there were tribes and communities, (yes, those days had their own set of challenges) children were brought into this world where they didn't just have two parents. They had extended family, friends, people physically around them for support. This was just standard.
I believe, from my own personal experience, that developing our own sense of independence is an empowering thing, in certain stages of life but to remain disconnected from others is avoidance of our natural need for human connection.
"Happiness only real when shared" – Into The Wild (Movie)
We don't need more independence. We need good people in our lives to depend on. We're not here to carry the ship by ourselves.
This is the biggest illusion I had to break through on my own journey.
This is why it's important to cultivate a sense of community somewhere, whether it's online or in person, get guides and mentors to support you and put yourself out there to connect with other real humans.
It's time to take back what we truly need in this world, which is people around us that we can trust, and seeking those people out.
Co-regulation is a real thing. It nourishes our soul. There's nothing better than looking in the eyes of someone, sharing a problem, being heard, being listened to, being seen. It lets you know that you're not alone.
That creates real safety as a felt experience.
02 | Breath.
When a stressful scenario comes up, take a moment to notice your breath, it's likely shallow. You could be feeling all types of emotions, they're all welcome.
When we learn to breathe down into our belly, we start to lower our diaphragm and we get out of this shallow breathing. We start to relax our body deeper.

We signal to our body that it is safe to be here in this moment right now. Regardless of the emotions that are coming up, regardless of what's happening around us, we stay regulated. That is signalling safety within.
03 | Words.
Spoken word is so powerful and it's so ignored. This is why in religious communities it's all about prayer. Prayer, spoken word, affirmations. All of it is confirming what you believe about your situation, what you believe about yourself.
When you're telling yourself negative things about yourself and your situation, you're reaffirming the same reality that you're in. It doesn't leave space for something new to come.
When we understand the power of our words, and how it's been used against us for so long, we take back our power. From here we learn to train ourselves to speak the reality that we want to experience.
To receive support: when you're looking for guidance, ask for guidance. When you're looking for a mentor, ask for a mentor. When you're looking for a friend, ask for a friend.
Don't use spoken word as a way to "hope" something changes or beg. Use spoken word to affirm the reality you desire with certainty, knowing you have the power to create within you.
Let clues be shown to you. Co-create with something bigger than yourself.
Empowering words signal safety in the body.
04 | Feeling.
I see emotions as energy in motion. If something is in motion, it just wants to move. Your emotions are not a problem to solve. They're not something you have to manage. They're just energy moving through you.
When we stop it from moving, we try to control it or "fix it" which ends up suppressing it. By doing this, we signal to ourselves that it's not normal to have feelings. This can easily end up in a self-judgement loop as if there's something wrong with you.
That creates dysregulation in the body and brings more uncomfortable feelings that stack on top of each other over time.
It will always find a way to come out, like numbing out with substances, chasing dopamine or just directing it at somebody out of reactivity, which is emotional abuse.
It's not your fault you were never taught how to process emotions in a healthy way.

When we let ourselves feel, we create a safe space in our body to feel emotions. This is how we signal to our body that it's safe for any emotion to move through us.
Then, we experience a deep sense of clarity on the other side.
All of these little things help you create a sense of safety within.
That gives you the foundation for being solid, calm and centered amongst the chaos of life.
You are put back in the driver's seat, and you are empowered to then create whatever it is that you want.
This is not to say there's going to be no challenges. If anything, there'll be more challenges to test you. But when you have that sense of self built, and you understand what we're talking about here deeply and embody that, nothing can take that away from you.
This is where we unlock the ability to manifest, create or build whatever you want in this world.
We don't need to intellectually understand more information. We need to feel deeply in our body that we are safe.
In a world that is full of dysregulation, with devices and technology that are simply here to disrupt you, it is up to us to come back to ourselves, realise the truth within, and realise that safety, and creating that within ourselves, is something that's within reach.
It's not something we have to search for.
The power is in your hands. And that's a beautiful thing to be excited about.
You've got this.
Creating Safety within is a deep topic with many threads. While we touched on practical elements, the journey is personal for everyone. Family patterns, belief systems and ways of operating that you've picked up along the way are unique to you. This is where I can help you find your Signal in all the Noise.
