Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 20, 2026 Jordan Lee / Modern Mastery
We take your privacy seriously, it's that simple. This page explains what information I collect when you visit my website or work with me, why I collect it, and what choices you have. I've written this to be as clear and human-readable as possible, because I believe you deserve to know exactly what's happening with your data without needing a law degree to understand it.
1. Who I Am
I'm Jordan Lee, and I run Modern Mastery, a education, consulting and coaching business focused on wealth expansion and nervous system work for high-performing entrepreneurs. I'm the data controller for the personal information collected through this website and my services, which means I decide how and why your data is processed.
If you have any questions about your data, you can reach me at jordan@itsjordanlee.com.
2. What I Collect & Why
I only collect information that I genuinely need to serve you and run this business well. Here's a breakdown:
Information you give me directly Your name, email address, phone number, and any details you share when you enquire about coaching, book a session, fill out a form, or send me a message. I use this to deliver my services, respond to you, and manage our working relationship. Legal basis: Contractual necessity (to deliver services you've requested) and your consent (when you voluntarily reach out or opt in).
Payment information When you purchase a service or product, your payment details (card number, billing address) are collected and processed by my third-party payment processor. I don't store your full card details on my own systems. Legal basis: Contractual necessity (to process your purchase).
Website usage data When you browse my site, I may collect your IP address, browser type, device information, pages you visit, and how you got here. This helps me understand what's working, improve the experience, and keep the site running smoothly. Legal basis: Legitimate interest (improving my website and services).
Communications If you email me, fill in a contact form, or message me on social media, I'll keep a record of that conversation so I can follow up and provide continuity in our communication. Legal basis: Legitimate interest (maintaining responsive communication) and consent.
3. How I Use Your Information
To deliver coaching services, digital products, and manage your account. To communicate with you about sessions, programmes, updates, and relevant content. To improve my website, services, and marketing based on usage patterns. To process payments and send receipts. To comply with legal and tax obligations.
I won't use your data for anything unrelated to these purposes without letting you know first.
4. Who I Share Your Data With
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Full stop.
There are a small number of situations where I may share your data with trusted third parties:
Service providers I work with third-party tools and platforms to run my business — things like payment processors, email marketing platforms, scheduling software, and website hosting. These providers only access your data to the extent needed to perform their service, and they're contractually required to protect it.
Legal requirements If I'm ever required by law to disclose your information — for example, in response to a court order or regulatory request — I'll comply, but only to the extent legally necessary.
Business changes In the unlikely event that Modern Mastery is acquired, merged, or substantially restructured, your information may be transferred as part of that process. I'd notify you before any such change takes effect.
5. International Data Transfers
Because I work with service providers based in different countries (including outside the EU/EEA), your data may occasionally be transferred internationally. When this happens, I ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or transfers to countries with an EU adequacy decision — so your data stays protected to the standard required by GDPR.
6. How Long I Keep Your Data
I don't hold onto your data any longer than I need to. Here's how I think about retention:
Client records and communications are kept for the duration of our working relationship and up to 6 years afterwards (to meet tax and legal obligations). Email marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Website analytics data is retained in anonymised or aggregated form. Payment records are retained as required by tax law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Once data is no longer needed, I securely delete or anonymise it.
7. Cookies & Tracking
My website uses cookies — small files stored on your device — to help the site function properly and to understand how people use it. Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others help me analyse traffic and improve your experience.
When you first visit, you'll be asked for your consent before any non-essential cookies are placed. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings or via the cookie consent banner on this site.
For specifics on which cookies are used and what they do, see my Cookie Policy [link to your cookie policy].
8. Data Security
I take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information — including secure hosting, encrypted connections (SSL), access controls, and careful vetting of third-party tools. That said, no system is 100% bulletproof, and I can't guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that poses a risk to your rights, I'll notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours as required by GDPR.
9. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have clear rights over your personal data. Here's what you're entitled to — and I'm committed to honouring each one:
Access — Request a copy of the personal data I hold about you.
Rectification — Ask me to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure — Ask me to delete your data (subject to legal obligations I may have).
Restriction — Ask me to temporarily limit how I process your data.
Portability — Request your data in a structured, commonly used format to transfer elsewhere.
Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interest or direct marketing.
Withdraw Consent — If I'm processing data based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Lodge a Complaint — You can file a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., the Spanish AEPD or Irish DPC).
To exercise any of these rights, just email me at jordan@itsjordanlee.com. I'll respond within 30 days.
10. Third-Party Links
My site may contain links to other websites — social platforms, tools, partners, and resources I recommend. Once you click through to another site, their privacy practices apply, not mine. I'd encourage you to read their policies before sharing any personal information.
11. Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy from time to time as my business or the law evolves. If I make any significant changes, I'll post the updated version here and update the date at the top. For major changes that affect how I use your data, I'll make a reasonable effort to notify you directly (for example, via email). Continuing to use my services after updates means you're okay with the revised policy.
12. Get in Touch
If anything here is unclear, or if you want to exercise any of your rights, I'm happy to help. Just reach out:
