Perspective: Through My Lens

Perspective: Through My Lens

Unknown Artist (please share if you know who owns this)

Through my lens this photo shares a story about how our perspective can shape what we experience in life. The more we direct our attention on something the more we begin to see as we collapse everything else around it.

Maybe this photo was hinting that the green trees on both sides will be destroyed

leaving only one tree left and the rest in dirt.

One could say that this photos describes a "negative" story... one that shows the destruction of something that was once beautiful.

Or one could say that this photo describes a "positive" story... one that shows the end of an old chapter and the beginning of something new. A plot of land that needed to be stripped away to become a bigger, greener landscape.

Who knows, I don't.

The more I sit with this photo

the more I see the Principle of Polarity

Polarity shows us that everything has an equal and opposite to it

It depends on how you look at it.

It's not uncommon to find two people in the same external situation

but based on the perspective they hold and their emotional state...

They will experience different "realities" at the same time.

I believe as we go deeper into our own personal journey, heal, grow and transform

our perspective shifts along with that.

we start to see our truth because we understand ourselves more deeply.

I don't believe there's a right way to see the world

but I know that when I challenged myself to see life through a more positive lens...

regardless of what's going on around me

it made me happier.

It made me realise that we can choose the perspective we prefer.

The most beautiful thing about art is that all perspectives are relevant

that's what makes us all unique, our Point of View on the world is the art.

This was inspired by one of my favourite humans Rick Rubin and his website Tetragrammaton where he shares art that you can look at and read about.

I spend hours every week browsing Pinterest and other sites searching for abstract photos that make me feel something. This is one of those photos. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed sharing it.
